Meghna Patel, Attorney
Meghna Patel is an associate attorney at the Hegwood Law Group. Meghna is a 2003 graduate of Clements High School in Sugar Land. She received her B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Biology from the University of Houston in 2007, along with a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Houston in 2011. Meghna received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law in 2014. While attending law school, Meghna was a legal intern for the Honorable Jacqueline Lucci Smith and the Honorable Theresa Chang. While in law school, Meghna was an Associate Editor for the Texas Journal of Business Law, along with the Corporate Counsel Review, where her article was published. She has completed the 40-hour mediation training and has mediated several cases. Meghna assists clients in various legal areas including estate planning, probate, guardianship, and elder law matters. In her spare time, Meghna enjoys shopping, traveling, and going to the gym. Her favorite sports teams are the Astros, Rockets, and the Texans.
Danielle Eidam, Probate Paralegal
Danielle graduated from University of Houston-Clear Lake in 2016 with a Bachelors of Science in Legal Studies. She has been married for 7 years to her husband Al and they have an amazingly strong willed 7 year old daughter, Mary. They have two mixed labs and a cat. Danielle has been with Hegwood Law Group as a probate paralegal for over a year. She loves her job. She loves to travel with her family.
Taylor Alvarez, Estate Planning Paralegal
Taylor graduated high school from Dickinson High School as a three year graduate in 2015. She started college at Alvin Community College in 2015 where she participated in the paralegal program, student council, and was chosen as one of 10 ambassadors for the school every semester she attended. She graduated with her associates and a certificate in 2017. Taylor joined Hegwood Law Group as an intern but very shortly after was hired as a paralegal. She had interned at another law firm working in family and criminal but working with helping children and the disabled was her ultimate goal. Taylor is an active volunteer and has logged over 2,000 volunteer hours. She is a black belt in karate. Taylor also likes to fish, take pictures, binge watch tv, walk her dog, garden, journal and loves to find the best food trucks around.
Elizabeth Camp, Attorney
Elizabeth is a 6th generation Texan and native Houstonian. A Dulles High School graduate, Elizabeth attended Centenary College of Louisiana where she received a B.A. in English. She returned to Houston and attended South Texas College of Law. At South Texas, Elizabeth graduated in the top 20% of her class, was a member of the Order of the Lytae and received two American Jurisprudence Awards. After a decade and half as a higher education and health law attorney, Elizabeth returned home to Texas to practice Elder Law, Estate Planning and Probate law. Elizabeth is a Member of the Texas and National chapters of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
Kathaleen Rhoads, Funding Coordinator
Kathaleen discovered her interest in the legal field while serving on a grand jury in Galveston County. She has over 5 years of paralegal experience focusing on civil litigation. She grew up in Dickinson, TX and enjoys lifting heavy things at the gym, cheat meals, knitting/crocheting, cross stitching, and adopting old dogs that no one else wants. She is excited to be a part of the Hegwood Law Group team.
Lorraine Beahan, Medicaid Coordinator
Lorraine grew up in clear lake shores and attended clear lake high school. She previously worked at Lockheed and was married at 21. She has lived in Austin, Oklahoma, Hawaii, and Florida. While living in Florida she obtained her paralegal degree. She settled back in Houston in 2000 and began working as a paralegal. She worked for a few attorneys before settling in at Hegwood Law Group in 2002. She has been serving on the Pasadena Habitat for Humanity board for 3 years. In her free time she soaks up time with her one grandson.
