Dayna Ryan
Attorney at Law

Dayna Ryan is an Estate Planning, Elder Law, and Special Needs Planning Attorney with nearly 16 years of experience. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Centenary College of Louisiana, her Bachelor of Civil Law from Louisiana State University, her Juris Doctorate from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, and her Master of Laws in Elder Law and Special Needs Planning from Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida. In addition, she has experience in Probate and Guardianship and knowledge in SSI, SSDI, Medicaid, Medicare and tax planning.

Growing up with her brother Christopher who lives with Downs Syndrome, she saw all the services, therapies, and Individualized Education Programs that he had to go through. She witnessed her parents try to figure it out themselves, as there was no one organization that could help with every need. Witnessing the way her brother was treated and the struggles he went through inspired her to fight for and want to help people with disabilities.

She also grew up with her father as the CEO of a long-term acute care (LTAC) facility and her mother as the managing nurse at a nursing home. As a result, she saw the inner workings of these facilities and grew up with the getting to know residents at the nursing home and LTAC’s. Later when her mother moved to nursing at a hospital, she became very familiar with doctors and nurses, as well as the inner workings of hospital life.

In law school, Dayna took up the caregiver role for her grandmother, as she lived alone and no other family members wanted to take on the role. Dayna saw the struggles her grandmother faced as she aged in place, as well as her strict budget, and during a time before Uber and grocery delivery services existed. This led Dayna to want to learn more about helping elder members of the community with aging in place and options like assisted living facilities and skilled nursing facilities.

Dayna found the Master of Laws in Elder Law at Stetson University College of Law and decided that was the area of law she wanted to practice so she could help those who are differently abled and elderly. She holds every client near and dear to her heart and is committed to getting them the services they need.
